Stealing the Bride

The story of Elspeth and Hayden was my first Highlander ebook. Perhaps I shouldn't have started with a novella. There is a lot to learn in these types of stories - clans, lairds, church rules, what is handfasting, border fights, etc. I enjoyed it all, but it moved along quickly. Hayden was super sexy and I liked Elspeth's sassy personality.

Mary Wine can write action scenes very well. That is for sure.

The story kind of took an odd turn with the "stealing the bride" section. It wasn't developed fully and the reader is moved past this quickly. Odd. If that is the title of the book I expect it to be more significant. And did one of the male characters have a peep hole into his sisters' bathroom? Eeew. So for that - my rating may fall closer to 3.5.

I will read more by Ms. Wine. I think a full novel will show me just how great this sub genre can be.

Find all of Mary Wine's books and ebooks on Amazon.  She has maaaaaany.

In My Pile: Crazy People

A humorous look at women in love. That could be really good. Just under 150 pages.

A Delightful Arrangement

Authors often put out novellas so readers can get a sampling of their writing style. As I've mentioned before,
sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. This one is a cute, flirty, sexy treat. I would definitely read more by this author.

A Fun, Sexy Quick Rad.

At times it was difficult to believe the two main characters were so blind to each other's feelings, but I got over that. I downloaded this Kindle ebook
See it on Amazon.

This author also has also written - The Jane Austen Academy Series.
"The Jane Austen Academy series are modern retellings of Jane Austen classics set at a beachside California boarding school."
Adding those to my TBR list.

Before the Moon Rises

Perhaps I don't read enough were fiction, but I was so happy to see a rich werewolf. Max Ritter doesn't live in a shack in the woods, a compound, or a village in Alaska. Nope. He's a stinking rich dude living in a mansion in LA! Nice.

Finally a Rich Werewolf!

The story was fun, sexy, and action packed. I enjoyed the nurse angle and the witty banter between Max and Janet. A fun couple. The overall story of 'good versus evil wolf packs' was a bit rushed. Enjoyable, but I didn't get into it since everything unfolded quickly.

Thank you for the fun Kindle freebie. Great Wolfe fun. I will read more by this author since I liked her writing style and sense of humor.
This title has been offered as a freebie by the author quite often. Click here to see if it is still free.

It is also a part of a series - although this title wrapped up completely.

It will continue to be a book blog.

Hey everyone! Heaven forbid I sit still and stick to one blog idea.

Sigh

I will be making drastic changes to Novella Reviews - in fact, it will not be a novella site any longer.

It will continue to be a book blog.

Stayed tuned for more info.

The Battle of the Brooklyn Bridge (Kindle Single) by Will Bunch

This is why I LOVE my Kindle here we are getting on location telling of what really happened just a few short weeks ago. Here in our hands we can see and hear what Occupy New York was all about.

Unfortunately I could not travel afar to participate in this moment in our history. This Kindle Single gives you great insight of the people who stood up to be heard and fight the good fight against greed.

We get introduced and some background on some of the brave who stood up for us, and we get some history behind the movement. I'm sure everyone has heard and seen bit and pieces of the event in the media. So do yourself a favor and get the whole story here. Knowledge is power and this my friends will enlighten you and make you be proud to be part of the 99% .

The Revolution Starts Now.
